RoboWars 2023 - IIITDM Vashisht Technical Festival

The Robot

Hardware:

Two LiPo batteries (one for each DC motor), ESP32 Microcontroller with SoC Wi-Fi – Joystick Control, Wooden chassis, 3D printed wheels, Skid-steer mechanism

Attack:

• Frontier blades can damage opponent robots while spinning
• Ramps can topple competing robots
• High-torque motors can push robots (up to 8 kg) outside the arena

Defense:

• Wheels have an extra rubber layer for better traction
• Wooden armor at the back for added protection
• Electronics shielded with transparent acrylic sheets for safety and visual monitoring

Our Team

Team RoboMars: Aravind, Vashist and Samrat - Power Distribution and Motor Control. Saikat - Chasis Design, Wheel 3D Printing. Manas and Yash Kumar Sahu (Team Lead) - ROS (Robot Operating System) Control and Wireless Operations.

Results

Achieved 2nd Rank at the finals in inter university competition. Organized by the Robotics Club at IIITDM as a part of technical festival in February 2023.
